Carrie O’ Carrie O’ where ya gonna go when the pushing comes to shoving I’ll be There for you not for nothing I just hope that you know how I miss my Carrie O’ And three-two-one she’s on the run Carrie left town with an Englishman Some kind of mission to the South Carolina shore She came undone so suddenly where can my dear Carrie be? Out on a mission to the South Carolina shore Carrie O’ Carrie O’ where ya gonna go when the pushing comes to shoving I’ll be There for you not for nothing I just hope that you know how I miss my Carrie O’ I’ll be waiting at Union Station when you come home Thirteen hours on the run Carrie hit Raleigh with the Englishman Out on her mission to the South Carolina shore The Brit he fell like Babylon but Carrie O’ she carried on On a solo mission to the South Carolina shore Carrie O’, Carrie where ya gonna go when the pushing comes to shoving I’ll be There for you not for nothing I just hope that you know how I miss my Carrie O’ I’ll be waiting at Union Station when you come home I’ll be waiting at Union Station when you come home

Step up and draft your piece but don’t take the one with all the toppings please Did I leave you too few? I will share with you even though it’s not something that know how to do That’ s not true, you know I’d give it all to you So rise up and grit those teeth and don’t let the haters cause you any grief When they say life’s hard it’s true You know I will care for you even though it’s not something I’m prepared to do My love is true and I’ll give it all to you When the north wind comes battering our steeples down I’ll be right there holding your hand baby Now those kids with tattooed hearts sure as hell ain’t kids no more But I’m still here holding your hand baby Step up and draft your piece and you can have the one with the golden cheese I left it there for you You know I will share with you, I’ll do it just like you taught me to Hon it’s true and I’ll give it all to you So rise up and grit those teeth and don’t let the haters cause you any grief When they say life’s hard it’s true You know I will care for you even though it’s not something I’m prepared to do My love is true and I’ll give it all to you When the north wind comes battering our steeples down I’ll be right there holding your hand baby Now those kids with tattooed hearts sure as hell ain’t kids no more But I’m still here holding your hand baby And I will cherish you when the party’s over and our days are through My love’s true and I’ll give it all to you, I’ll give it all to you

It wasn’t looking good and Pete knew it, Eve tried hard to misconstrue it A wild and reckless ride rolling down chance’s ugly side They crafted bad decisions with an engineer’s precision Wouldn’t rise and couldn’t shine no matter how hard they tried Eve wrote her song under the stairwell Pete sang along down dead end streets Last I heard they didn’t fare too well Eve forgot the words and Pete lost the beat They tried climbing up to the surface but their ropes were frayed and worthless Losing hope and searching for purpose they called out desperately When their words started losing focus they were way too wrecked to notice Lucidity so suddenly just a distant memory Eve wrote her song under the stairwell Pete sang along down dead end streets Last I heard they didn’t fare too well Eve forgot the words and Pete lost the beat A passing thought a strangled word melodies never meant to be heard A scrawl of prose just to show that they were here But it didn’t look good and Pete knew it, Eve went back to Massachusetts No more wild rides with Evie by his side They picked her up in the churchyard, caught forging sigs on her court card She wouldn’t rise and couldn’t shine no matter how hard she tried Eve wrote her song under the stairwell She walked alone down dead end streets Last I heard she didn’t fare too well Eve forgot the words when Pete lost the beat

This is new tone / ** Give me groovy music / Keeps me live and moving / I need some time out of my mind / Give me groovy music / When I’m suffering / And I’m in doubt / Wondering what my life is all about / It’s not for me to decide / I just do or die / So give me groovy music before I / Before I / ** / When I’m wandering / And I feel lost / Don’t know which way to go / I just wanna get high / Wanna feel the light / Give me groovy music before I / Before I / ** Whoa oh oh oh / {Repeat} Everything’s gonna be alright {Repeat}

Went to a show / Saw you there / Turned to say hello / You don’t really care / **No bother / You have everything / You won’t ever need me / But I can make the people sing / That’s just how it goes / I never really know / I can’t bend the river’s flows / ** / Whatever that may mean / I will always have me / Forever I will always be.
6.
I just want to dance / The nightmare never ends / Stay inside if you wanna stay alive / The kids are in the street and pigs are on patrol / Stay inside if you wanna stay alive / It’s swelter in the city and I can feel the violence / ** Stay inside if you wanna stay alive / Bad operation is burning with the fire / Stay inside if you wanna stay alive / Bad operation means murder like the virus / I just want to dance / Go! / (I’m badder than you) / Stay inside if you wanna stay alive / Mama says her prayers while the soldiers go out riding / Stay inside if you wanna stay alive / God was born to die and the prison inmates riot / Stay inside if you wanna stay alive / Hell is up on high and heavens down below / Stay inside if you wanna stay alive / I don’t wanna live but then I don’t wanna die / I just wanna dance / ** / No one’s gonna come and save ya / Gonna have to be your own savior / Every illness is suicide / All my darkness bares light / I won’t harm my rival / I won’t try to make it right / No I don’t want no comfort / Don’t want no free trial offer / I won’t harm my rival / I won’t try to make it right / I don’t want no comfort / I be damned to tell a lie /
